We are excited to open nominations for Toast the Town: Business Awards
Each year during Small Business Week, the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce asks the community to nominate local businesses that they have recognized throughout the year for going above and beyond. The Small Business Awards and all the nominations we receive for the outstanding businesses in our community allow us to celebrate the entrepreneurs who contribute so much to the community. They provide local jobs, bring energy, vibrancy, and uniqueness to our streets, and they form the backbone of our provincial economy.
Our Toast the Town: Business Awards in celebration of Small Business Week will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd, starting at 6 pm, at the Summit Center. Join us for a relaxed and enjoyable evening as we celebrate the achievements of our local business community at this year’s Toast the Town Business Awards. The event will feature a selection of finger foods and beverages, creating a casual atmosphere perfect for socializing and networking. There will be no assigned seating, allowing guests to move freely throughout the venue and connect with others throughout the night.

To nominate a local business you feel is deserving, simply complete our online form. Eligible member businesses are listed on the nomination form. Nominations will be open from Friday, August 1st to Sunday, September 30th. Nominations are being accepted by the general public for the People’s Choice and Emerging Business Awards.
People’s Choice - This award celebrates the entrepreneurs who contribute so much to the community. The Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community at large to nominate local businesses who go above and beyond, providing local jobs, bringing energy, vibrancy and uniqueness to our streets, supporting community initiatives, and creating a sense of welcome to all residents.
Emerging Business Award – This award celebrates a new business (opened within the last 2 years) that is making a name for itself in the community. This business uses innovation and excellent customer service to grow their customer base, participates in community activities to create a more vibrant Hampton, and brings new business ideas or products to the community.
In addition, awards will be presented in the following categories:
Peer-to-Peer Award and Employee of the Year: Nominations for these two awards are only open to Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce members.
Peer to Peer Award - This award goes to a business that provides excellent support to fellow businesses through high quality service & expertise. Nominations for this award come from fellow chamber members.
Employee of the Year Award - This award recognizes an employee who has been nominated by their employer in recognition of outstanding achievement. The recipient of this award has demonstrated exemplary performance and commitment to their workplace.
Hampton Community Excellence Award - This award recognizes a business that is community-minded, volunteers/donates to the community, as well as having a focus on improved streetscape and pride of ownership. This award recipient is selected by the Mayor and Town Council.
Spirit of the Chamber Award - This award goes to a Chamber member who best carries out the Chamber’s values, mission and objectives. This business promotes the Chamber and demonstrates the morale, character and work ethic that every member should strive for. This award is chosen by the Chamber’s Board of Directors
