James Wilson has been a photographic artist for more than 40 years. His panoramic landscapes, black and white portraits, and still life works are in many public and private collections both nationally and internationally including the National Art Gallery in Ottawa and in the Hampton Area Office!
James Wilson has published 3 books; the most recent, Social Studies, is a high-quality hard cover edition featuring 80 black and white portraits of New Brunswick people from all walks of life with writings by James and curator John Leroux of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
Wilson Studio is four generations old, starting in Saint John in 1878 by Isaac Erb and then his son John Erb until 1939 when James' father, Lew D Wilson, bought the Erb photography business and changed the name to Wilson Studio.
