September 24, 2009 was a warm, sunny day in Hampton, perfect for the HACC Business Mixer at the Vintage Bistro here in Hampton. Twenty-two members and guests gathered on the deck to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. We were pleased to welcome some new faces and delighted to have Hap and Shirley Bettle join us. Door prizes were appreciated, however, most importantly was the genuine comraderie of everyone in attendance.

December 17 is the date of our next Business Mixer. It is doubtful that we will sit out on the terrace on that occasion, but Holiday Spirit will keep us warm instead. See you at the Vintage Bistro!

HACC is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Small Business Awards. This award program acknowledges local businesses and those dedicated individuals who are ultimately responsible for their success.

Members and Non Members are invited to nominate a business in the community whose achievements merit consideration.
Categories of consideration are: Small Business with less than five (5) employees; and Small Business with five (5) or more employees.
Deadline for receipt of nominations: Monday, October 12, 2009.

If you missed the June 26 Business Mixer at the new Vintage Bistro, you missed a great time! Thirty plus members and a few guests gathered on the patio to enjoy the ambiance of this new venue in Hampton. Door prizes were won by some and an opportunity to mix and mingle was enjoyed by all. The most common question at the end of the event?…When is the next Mixer?

FIRST ANNUAL HACC GOLF TOURNAMENT

We are so proud of this year’s HACC 1st Annual Golf Tournament which took place on June 19th at the Hampton Golf Course. It was under perfect skies that 48 participants tee’ed off during an afternoon of fun and laughter. Prizes donated by local business were awarded to both the best performing team and also the more amateur teams. The course was beautiful and provided the perfect setting for friendship and networking opportunities for the business people of Hampton.
It is with enthusiasm that we look forward to our 2nd annual tournament in 2010. For those of you who were unable to attend, we look forward to seeing you next year – although space may be limited!!
